Imagine a hotel room for the android version of Joan Crawford in Bladerunner 2049 - as you do.
Pink has been part of our design passion since the beginning (over 5 years ago when we painted our sitting room Pink) and so it was a definite start point for us when faced with creating a dream bedroom. We are also big fans of an epic window treatment (you know we love our wall to wall curtains in our interior design projects) so the chance to go to town on them here was also so exciting.
But we haven’t stopped at just roller blinds and vast pink curtains, we have added a long pelmet – or as we like to call is a Skirtain! So retro, but kept up to date her with simple colour palette and a wave header.

Inspiration for our bedroom design came from TV programmes like Bette and Joan and Madmen, but also from movies like Bladrunner 2049. Keeping the future vibes in a retro idea.
We were also inspired by italian design and our trips to Milan as well as the imagined interiors of Artist Charlotte Taylor and the pink bathroom render below, designed by Crosby Studio.
As soon as we saw the Motto Roller blind fabric, it all fell into place. Motto is such an easy organic design and sits beautifully in the minimal structure of this room, giving a sheer layer of pattern that is so soft. The Black details and fine lines keep the room grounded and contemporary. As does the giant scalloped headboard we designed for the space with matching bench at the foot of the bed.

A cheeky appearance by our Moire Rug design in Blush - the perfect accompaniment for the beautiful fabric of the Roller blinds. Giving deep texture and a layer of luxury underfoot.

The final room was just begging for room service to arrive (cocktails of course)
